Wanda, I must say that you were one of the woman that really intrigued me at the "Give N' Take Networking" event in NYC. I extremely admired your children's books. Excellent illustrations (esp. sketchings and vibrant colors)it compliments your well researched writings. The topics in your books can be geared toward any nationality but I appreciate the direct honor given to our children.

The members of the G.R.I.T.S. Kidz Book Club enjoyed your books very much. Therefore we will be featuring you and your books on our official website the month of July! Thank you for those wonderful stories!

Hello Wanda. My name is Tanisha. I met you on Saturday at the African-American Children's Book Festival. I was very excited to meet you. The truth is, I have been trying to contact you for a long time. I read an article in Black Enterprise Magazine that left a lasting impression on me. I look forward to a time when I can further express my intrest in writing for children and productive market strategies. There is so much that I want to talk about and so many questions that I would love to ask. I thank you in advance for your response.

I am 11 years old and I am in the "Embrace Girl Power Club" and we read your book this month and had our book club meeting on Sunday at Barnes and Noble bookstore. We were told that you would be visiting us girls on Saturday, March 1st at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center to discuss your book with us. I am elated to have you do so. Wanda, what a wonderful book. I enjoyed meeting you on September 28, 2002 at the Baltimore Book Festival. My five year old daughter loves the book and she is even trying to read the book herself. She has already memorized the famous saying "Sticks and Stones". She said to me but mommy words do hurt your feelings. I replied "Yes they do." You did a great job and I am looking forward to reading and purchasing more of your books. Oh by the way, my girlfriend's daughter enjoyed the book as well. This will definitely be one of my Christmas items to purchase.
